English Electric is the twelfth studio album by English synthpop group Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark (OMD), and their second since the 2006 reformation of the band. Preceded by lead single "Metroland" on 25 March 2013, it was released on 5 April by 100% Records. The record peaked at on the UK Albums Chart, and topped the UK Independent Albums Chart.

The album consists of 5 remixed versions of songs from SYRE, including the lead single, ICON, which became the most listened track on SYRE. Smith first teased a full length accapella rendition of SYRE, via a twitter post

The Black Keys - "Let's Rock" (2019). 1. Jaden Smith - SYRE (The Electric Album) (2018). Country: USA Genre: Hip-Hop Quality: mp3, 320 kbps, FLAC. Tracklist: 1. B (5:05) (Electric) 2. Ninety (4:49) (Electric) 3. Lost Boy (4:48) (Electric) 4. Fallen (6:05) (Electric) 5. Icon? (6:55) (Electric). LCD Soundsystem - Electric Lady Sessions (2019). Lee Ranaldo - Electric Trim Live at Rough Trade East (2018). Electric Six - Bride of The Devil (2018). High On Fire - Electric Messiah (2018). James Bay - Electric Light (2018).

As such, SYRE: THE ELECTRIC ALBUM is a moody, guitar-driven makeover in which Smith transforms five SYRE tracks from trap-based hip-hop into more emo-based tunes (think: Lil Peep and Princess Nokia). He taps new reservoirs of feeling and atmosphere on Lost Boy and Fallen, while the tail end of Ninety almost has a campfire vibe to it. Icon?, meanwhile, drifts on a cloud as Smith rejects the labels thrust on him with a punchy freestyle. SYRE: THE ELECTRIC ALBUM - EP Jaden. So it should come as no surprise that the first take of SYRE, Jaden’s 2017 debut album, would not be enough to satisfy his restlessly creative spirit.

Pet Shop Boys will go "Electric" on July 15. The legendary dance-pop duo announced on Tuesday the release of their first studio album on their own imprint, x2, a partnership with Kobalt Label Services. The band announced last month that they were leaving Parlophone after 28 years. 'Electric' is very much set on the dance floor," they said in a statement on Tuesday. Our latest album often evolves as a response to our previous album and, whereas 'Elysium' had a reflective mood, 'Electric' is pretty banging!" The album leads off the song "Axis"
