Only Jiránek's instrumental works have been preserved (. violin concertos, symphonies or concertos). His work was strongly influenced by Vivaldi's musical style, although it has also many original distinctive elements. In fact their styles are so similar that Jiránek's works have occasionally been misattributed to Vivaldi. a b c d e "František Jiránek, Concertos & Sinfonias". Retrieved 3 July 2013.

Until recently, František Jiránek, a composer and violinist of the Prague-based Count Morzin’s chapel, had only been known to a select few. Now, for the first time, all lovers of old music are afforded the opportunity to listen to an exquisite collection of his virtuoso concertos. The world premiere of Jiránek’s virtuoso concertos has been undertaken by superlative soloists headed by the wizard bassoonist Sergio Azzolini. With full engagement, together with Collegium Marianum under the flautist Jana Semerádová, they have breathed new life into Jiránek, which this rediscovered composer so richly deserves. Audio examples to be found on Supraphonline. Recorded in the Church of Our Lady, Queen of Angels in Prague, July 23-25, 2010.

Musicians are also becoming more and more enthusiastic about the newly discovered composer – besides the ensemble of Jana Semerádová, his promoters include the phenomenal bassoonist Sergio Azzolini, whose unique recording of Jiránek’s concertos (SU 4039-2) was received with great acclaim, and the renowned oboist Xenia Löffler.
