The Dramatics, founded by Ron Banks, Willie Lee Ford and Larry Reed, originally formed in 1964, recording as the Dynamics in 1965. Their first release in 1965 entitled "Bingo" was recorded for Wingate, a division of Golden World Records in Detroit, Michigan. Due to a misprint, Wingate changed the name of the group from The Dynamics to The Dramatics in 1966 for the group's second release, "Inky Dinky Wang Dang Doo". Davis, then Banks and Reynolds took over production later in the 1970s and the early 1980s. Only Banks, Ford and Mayes remained in the group.

Dramatically Yours, which appeared two years later, brings a much softened tone. The album lives up to its punning title from the start, with And I Panicked, a tale of abandonment at the hands of a coldhearted lover. After years of flops and small hits, the Dramatics broke through with 1971’s Whatcha See is Whatcha Get, an assertion of straight-shooting pride. Dramatically Yours, which appeared two years later, brings a much softened tone.

Dramatically Yours (1986). Album by The Dramatics. And I Panicked by The Dramatics and Ron Banks.

Dramatically Yours Tracklist. 1. And I Panicked Lyrics. 2. I Dedicate My Life To You Lyrics. About Dramatically Yours. One of their finest albums. The Dramatics had solidified their sound and personnel in the early ‘70s. Reynolds was now doing the leads, with Ron Banks’ feathery falsetto and Willie Ford’s booming baritone perfectly positioned at the top and bottom of the arrangements, and Reynolds and Lenny Mayes right in the center. Although they didn’t generate much crossover success, they were on the R&B charts regularly with singles pulled from the album. Dramatically Yours Q&A.
